Fine food, wine, cigars, after dinner drinks etc. loved! We had a group of 7 of us and aside from a mistake with the reservation we had super service. I heard it has a Michelin Star which is pretty special and obvious by the exquisite service we got from Hans(waiter) and other staff. We were greeted with fine Champagne and took their advice on almost everything along the dining experience. We had several courses and a myriad of fine wines. I started out with Lobster Medallions on noodles with a delicious red curry sauce. OMG. Melted in my mouth. And the wine they paired with it also was perfect. Never had an empty glass and always had great food in front of me. I had the Oxtail as my main course. Boy, that was special. Perfectly prepared. I finished my meal with a beautiful chocolate cake lite item that when I forked it poured out chocolate. Wow, was this good. Accompanying it was a small scoop of ice cream with a gelled grape. I think it was specially made and just balanced this desert out just right and was a fitting end to the meal.
Was it over? No! We exited our private room upstairs and walked down one more flight of stairs than we went up and ended in the Cellar. A beautiful rustic room with candles lit everywhere, thick stone walls, and large leather couches and big chairs. A stocked bar and cigar box awaited for us and they now served us after dinner drinks. I am not a single malt whiskey drinker or I would have probably gone that route but I do love some Sambuca and it was there. More coffee beans than I am used to but it was a fabulous end to a perfect night for me. Lots of conversation and fun! Several hours, the norm in Europe, and nothing but fantastic service, made for a fantastic night for us.
I know why they earned that star and Hans made it for us and I know lots was going on behind the scenes to make our evening perfect. I was in a 10 or so table restaurant and was unaware if anyone was there all night. What a luxurious experience. -

The atmosphere is exceptional with the team looking after you all the way.
Wine cellar to die for and we had the taster menu.... everything was exquisite and the is well deserved.

Be prepared for a magical evening when dining at YoSH. Upon arrival, they whisk you immediately to a waiting area to enjoy an aperitif. Since I went on a beautiful day, I enjoyed the outdoor area and a lovely glass of champagne. After whetting your palate, you're chauffeured to your table, where the real magic happens! Everything you order, whether in a set course of dishes or a la carte, will amaze you. Sometimes the kitchen will even bring little surprises out, just to keep all parties entertained and delighted during the course of the meal. All plates are small and crafted by master chefs. Afterward, you prob will want to try dessert, just because you want to know what a little piece of heaven might taste like. Then finally the digestif where you can tour the cellars and cigar rooms below - though apparently someone ruined it for everyone and now there is no more lounging below - something about safety laws (haters gonna hate). Hopefully that changes in the future, as it looks like a wonderful place to relax after dinner. YoSH is an experience. Spend it with someone special and take the memories with you, even though they may be taking your pocketbook with them. It is pricey, but so lovely that it'll make your life richer. My date was lovely and the night was perfect, so I wish the same perfection in your life while YoSHing. Bon apetit!
